The “Saint Francis Cantata” CD is the seventh album and the first cantata offered by Joseph Francis Michael Pokorny, SFO and RyKy Records™. The “Saint Francis Cantata” is a musical celebration of – and tribute to – the life of Saint Francis of Assisi, written and composed by Joseph Francis Michael Pokorny, SFO. The cantata was performed and recorded live at All Saint’s Church, Philadelphia, PA, in September 2000. It was the result of two years’ research about the life of Saint Francis and illustrates, through music and lyrics, key historical events, emotions, and messages of this influential saint. The result is a unique, profound, entertaining performance that provides an insightful, thought-provoking, spiritual and learning experience, bringing the story of Saint Francis to life. The album features solos by Joseph Francis Michael Pokorny, SFO (Saint Francis); Debbie Bello (Saint Clare); and Amber Lynn Stolarski (Ave Maria Hymn).
